More Like World Whore III

While we're on the topic of 52, I am so disappointed with World War III. I'm going to avoid spoilers, but I will just say that I think the above strip hits home even more in the light of this week's issues. Seriously, I've read 50 weeks of what currently seems to be amounting to nothing. The next 2 weeks better be amazing or I won't be reading Countdown (OK, I probably will, but only because I get lonely).

New comic is on the way; blame any and all delays on Super Paper Mario and God of War II. If the muse strikes me, I'll work on some chibis too.

Black Adam History Month

Was it just me, or was all of last month's 52 issues about Black Adam? I mean, come on, what's Booster been up to the past 20 weeks? What about Batwoman? The space people? Sure, we've seen bits and pieces, but there's 4 weeks left and I still have no clue what I'm supposed to take out of this series because all I can remember of it is Black Adam beating the shit out of people and Montoya being angsty.

I was out of town this weekend, so the colored version of this strip will take a couple days; but I'll get to it when I can.

52 Bitches!

It's amazing what you can get past censors these days. In the past few weeks, DC comics' "52" has just been filled with gratuitous violence. Most of it involves Black Adam smashing people, or crocodiles eating people. In the meantime, I'm not sure what's been going on in the "other" story lines.

My main beef with 52, is that it's not really a weekly comic. It's 4 monthly comics jammed together into one. Except that it's marketed as such that you have to buy all the comics, to get at any ONE of the stories you want to read. It really could just be four separate monthly comics, but of course nobody would buy a comic about JUST Steel and his crazy niece.

On the other hand people are paying TONS of money to watch the Incredible Hulk smashing the entire Marvel Universe in the face in "World War Hulk." Hmm...maybe 52 would sell better if it was JUST Black Adam punching people in the face... is a digital parody comic about Comic Book Characters.
