Chibi 3

Thanks for all positive feedback about Chibi strips. So we might as well continue them, as Mike is not here and we can't work on the main strip without him. As to the strip, I never really got the story behind the Mandarin. You'd think that Iron Man's main enemy would be some big metal bad guy and not a Chinese man with magic rings. I guess it works though. Sort of the same logic how Batman's main villain is an insane clown.

Electric Avenue

From the Wikipedia entry about Superman: "In the Superman comics of the late 1990s, Superman loses his traditional powers and transforms into a being of electromagnetic energy.... During this time, he is able to transform into the corporeal form of Clark Kent but has no special powers in his human guise." I think our retelling is more realistic. Because comics are realistic. And I think it's funny when Clark looks like a smurf. We also allude to an episode of Lois and Clark where an evil time traveller reveals Superman's identity to Lois by putting on and removing glasses repeatedly. It's in Season 2 and has H.G. Wells in it, so go buy the DVDs.

Mike's in China this week, so it might be a while before the next real strip. There seems to be some good feedback about the chibis, so maybe Tim and I will try to put together one or two before Mike's return.

I finally saw The Prestige, albeit a week too late, but it was really good and I recommend it. In a way, last week's strip is actually appropriate. I am also looking forward to Let's Go To Prison with Will Arnett (Gob from Arrested Development)!
