Spider-Man Rocks!

So the original idea for this script was to make something that Mike could draw really quick. We envisioned a pinup of Spider-Man reaching through Kitty from behind and holding a dead fetus in his hands. As we suspected, Mike refused to draw an aborted baby, so we settled on this more "PG" version.

For those who don't know, this isn't 616-Spidey, but Ultimate Spidey since he's dating Ms. Pryde in that universe. (which I think is actually a great subplot)

Speaking of Spider-Man, I'm glad to say that I have seen "Spider-Man Rocks" (The Musical) At Universal Studios...not once...but twice! I am sad to say that it stopped showing in 2003, but I recently found videos of someone who taped that amazing performance. For those of you who have never seen Spidey and Green Goblin engage in a fist-fight ballet, you might want to check out these links. Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4 , Part 5.

Yes...I certainly DO need a hero.

Reed Richards Likes Science

Ok, who watched the new Fantastic Four cartoon? I've seen a lot of negative reviews out there, but I enjoyed it. I wouldn't say it holds up to the DC cartoon universe at all, or even the old Spider-Man and X-Men cartoons, but I was amused and chuckled a bit throughout the pilot. Now, I'm no expert in the Fantastic Four, but I thought the portrayal of the Thing was pretty spot-on; Sue's a bitch, Johnny's an ass, and Reed's an awkward geek. All of which work to my preconceptions, even if not representative of the 616 or even Ultimate Fantastic Four per-se. The art's a little awkward (is Johnny Storm albino?), but I guess if I were made of orange rock and hated oversized T-shirts, I'd also spraypaint a logo on my chest. And if you haven't read my previous posts about Annihilation, Ronan the Accuser's awesome.

I don't know why I'm even still reading Blue Beetle. Probably the only thing holding me on is curiousity as to why the scarab hates Green Lanterns. This new book is just plain boring; I miss Ted Kord.

Less boring, but still moving way too slowly (get it?), is the reboot of Flash. Seriously, cheer up, emo-Flash. And let's get some fuckin' answers about what happened in IC 4 already! is a digital parody comic about Comic Book Characters. The original characters are owned by Marvel, DC and other respective copyright owners. PassFailStudios uses the names and images of these figures for the purposes of satire.
