The Creative Process

We have a wiki where we discuss new ideas, and comment on each is how this one basically played out

Scott: Tim says this is a good setup for a crappy joke. I agree. If we can come up with a better punchline I'm all for it.

    [Insert Script Here]

Tim: I think instead of accidently unzipping, Wally West should accidently kill a hooker.

Yeah...we're bad people.

For those of you who don't follow Flash closely, the first four panels are a very quick recap of issues 200-225. Barry says he'll visit Wally on the three hardest days on his life, and we see two such days. Supposedly Infinite Crisis issue 4 has the third visit, but Barry actually only visits Bart. I hope we see a true third hardest day for Wally at some point (also because I miss him as the Flash), and it doesn't become some dangling thing like the third Summers brother that's resolved 10 years later via "Oh, the Spectre made everyone forget the day Barry came back to coach me through my kidney stone, well, until Batman found out again."

I really enjoy the concept of the Time Elliptical. Obviously Barry made some improvements to the original design while in the future. I also think Mike got a little frustrated that the Time Treadmill looks different in every reference pic he has.

And when Tim brought up the new punchline, well, just recall that Wally can vibrate through solid objects but they explode afterwards. It was just too perfect.

PassFail in color now! Strip 10 (the other Flash one, coincidentally enough), has been retconned, too, check it out!

Bagley to Leave Ultimate Spider-Man

The news comes from Comic Shop News here.

I honestly think that Ultimate Spider-Man is the best ongoing comic *ever*. Sure there's stuff like Watchmen and Dark Knight Returns that's usually on the top of everybody's list, but they only lasted 4 or 12 issues. Even Preacher "only" lasted 66 issues. Sure not all of USM has been great, but for the most part it's been consistently good. To do so for 100+ issues, for lack of a better word, is simply Amazing.

I'm fairly sure Brian Michael Bendis was born to write Spidey. It's sad to see Bagley go. I never like it when art changes, and I'm actually more of a fan of art staying consistent rather than high quality. I hope whoever they pick up stays on for a while, cause I'd hate to get a "rotating" team of artists on the book. is a digital parody comic about Comic Book Characters.
