A thinly veiled reference to Steel's (aka John Henry Irons...aka Black Superman) "new" powers in 52 Week 8. I guess when there are hundreds of super heroes out there, it's a bit hard to come up with something new, but it just seems a bit too close to one of our favorite X-Men. I would like to apologize for our "half-ass-ness" of our strips lately. Basically with Superman Returns taking a majority of our time last week, we had to do a one-panel strip, and as it turns out Mike has a business trip to China this week, so we had to rush this strip as well. There might be no strip next week because of Mike's trip to the Orient. Looking ahead, we'll be at San Diego Comic-Con at the end of the month, so you might be looking at a lot more "one-panel" strips for the rest of the month. We do have a bunch of strips ready to go...but have just been busy the month. Maybe I'll post a bunch of Mike's sketches that he never wanted you to see. In any case, hope you stay tuned during our "rough" patch we're having.

I'd also like to apologize for the recent lateness on our part; it's been a busy two weeks and promises to be so for the rest of the month. Some of you might be asking, "Why is Steel naked?" Well, according to Mike, it's my fault (this is the second time I've made him draw tastefully nude steel men). See, he wanted a reference pic, which I sent to him, but he left it on his work computer. When he asked me to resend it, I was afk, so he went ahead and drew Steel naked. I guess reference pics are required for pants. I just got back from Pirates of the Caribbean 2, which I found to be simply alright, like I did the first one. It's not a bad movie, but the series just has failed to draw me in and really impress me. It's kind of starting to bug me that movies these days are being designed as trilogies. With the advent of Silver Surfer, Fantastic Four 2 (should it, if we go with regular numbering, be Fantastic Five? "4 2" just sounds weird) is totally going to end on a damn Galactus cliffhanger, just so we wet our pants for another 2 years to see Fantastic Four 3. Which would be really cool. Hollywood, if you're reading this post, you have the perfect planet eater right here! I also foresee forbidden romance between him and Invisible Woman. Just sayin', is all.

I would like to clarify being "at" San Diego Comic-Con, means that we will be attending as guests. Not with some booth. I'm sure that all ten of our fans are disappointed. If someone wants to meet up with us, I'm willing to give up Mike's hotel info. (especially if you are a prison inmate).
