Theory worked on me. Just made me dial it up and it does indeed dovetail nicely in many ways between JL and JLU with the multi-world concept covering all other bases.
I really missed the voices but ya can't have it all.
I really liked The Martian's new look. The contemporary references to Trek sprinkled in were a good surprise too.
I'll certainly watch this one again. _________________ We are physical machinery - puppets that strut and talk and laugh and die as the hand of time pulls the strings beneath... We are that which asks the question. (Sir Arthur Eddington) |

I'm about to watch this right now.
My review later. _________________ Ginny Rummy - Why would anyone in their right mind spend 15 minutes trying to type some sh*t they could could've called and said in 5 seconds. Plus, it involves typing with your thumbs, which I just don't approve of.

Just finished watching Crisis On Two Earths...and it's easily my 2nd favorite DC Universe movie (after New Frontier).
My only minor complaints about the piece are the length (always), and that it wasn't "World's Collide". This flick seemed tailor-made for "our" League (granted, it pretty much was), and I think this project may have been our last shot at seeing the TV incarnation of the League in another adventure.
That being said, everything important clicked with me; and I will be purchasing the 2-disc set.

I really enjoyed it. It did have the "our" feel. I wasn't crazy about the J'onn relationship, because it was just too...fast and weird, but there you have it. _________________

Me too. the length of these DTDVD's really annoys me. Surely an extra 10 minutes wouldn't hurt too much financially. |

It did have a Kevin Costner/Whitney Houston "Bodyguard" feel to it.
And I don't really know how necessary it was. I mean I could see it being important if the was "World's Collide", because then it dovetails into J'onn becoming more distant from the rest of the team. But as a stand-alone project it wasn't essential.
I just thought of another minor complaint...Batman's voice didn't relly work for me...but he didn't say much, so it wasn't jarring enough to take me out of the movie. _________________ This Message Was Approved By:

Yeah, it wasn't the best Batman voice I've heard. Or even the second or third... _________________

But better than Val Kilmer, I hope? |
